'Mad women in My Attic!' has begun to make it's mark and the Door to Door website, which was launched in April is still growing with the addation of the LBGT project. Which by the way deserves a little mention...

I have been facilitation monthly LBGT meetings with the lovely Cecily at Mind Yourself for just over two years. It began out of the desire for a place where the London Irish LBGT could meet, find out about health issues and fight their own corner for equality in Ireland. Highlighting and reducing the high suicide rate amoung Irish LGBT in Ireland was a particular passion for them. We did many things - starting with a letter to the Irish goverment requesting a referendum on Gay marrage in Ireland - and so began the road towards healing the many thousands of people who had to leave Ireland, not because of work, but because of who they loved...

...in between that letter and the recent success of the referendum, we have of course done other things! Including many other letters and events. We organised an offical LBGT event in the Irish Embasy, London - a first. We also offically marching as a LBGT group in the London Paddies Day Parade - a first, while NYC was still fighting the issue. Little steps towards the reward of the big fight.

The group has now evoled and is based in Camden. MY is still there to assist LBGT health and social issues, although the change in people since this referendum has been unbelivable. It has brough calm and a new found love to individuals, who were until now, feeling hurt and isolated by their own people. An incredible time in history. Of healing and moving towards who we trually are. One that I am trually proud of.
